Usual Demeanor: Jörmungandr is usually brash when encountering Æsir; often imposing his will on the beings to provoke violence. He does have a softer side which is showed to all others who approach him that do not share in the Æsir blood. In the past he was known to be destructive, chaotic, and a bit of a loner choosing to exile himself into the deep of cosmos away from any other beings.

HISTORY
Past: His story begins as a rivalry with Thor. Disguised as a cat, the god was challenged
To lift the feline as a test of strength. The first attempt by Thor had him try and raise the cat by his belly, but the weight was to grand to even budge the serpent in disguise. The Æsir did taste success when he managed to lift his paw in the second trial. The giant king, Útgarða-Loki commended the god of thunder for his strength and explained the deception when pointing out the true form of the feline which covered the skies.
This began the eternal rivalry with the god of thunder. Each time they encountered, a battle would ensue to shake the nine realms. Words spared, only hate drove the two into constant clashes. As fate dictates, the final battle will come where Jörmungandr releases its own tail and thrash itself onto the land, covering the skies and seas with its poison. Ragnarök shall begin; Thor and the Serpent shall meet and he will die in the battle. However, the Æsir will perish after taking nine steps away from the beast.

ABILITIES & WEAPONS

POWERS:
• Giant-God Physiology: Born from a giantess and a god, Jörmungandr is a massive serpent by origin and can alter his size to fit around the different worlds he inhabits. He remains immune to most forms of damage with only the god Thor being the one being capable of inflicting damage upon him.
• Immortality: Jörmungandr is incapable of dying through normal means such as aging or the passing of time. His death has already been written by fate to be in the hands of Thor, but before he perishes Ragnarök shall begin the end times.
• Invulnerability: He is unable to be harmed through normal weaponry. The only exception seen thus far being Thor and his hammer Mjölnir.
•Regeneration: Jörmungandr’s regeneration is akin to most cold blooded lizards. Able to regrow full limbs when cut off and instantly patch wounds and burns. So long as his head is intact, he is fully able to reform his full body.
•Superhuman Strength: His strength is immense, even when in a mortal state, he retains the power of his full sized form. Being capable of exerting a realm shaking force with every blow and a strength that physically warps space when exerted to its fullest.
•Superhuman Speed: His speed is something of an oddity. Naturally, he has immense speed, but appears to move instantly when in a mortal form. Reason being is that he simply chooses a point to exist over the span of his actual body. Though unseen, the presence of the serpent is constant aware when transformed. This is what gives the illusion of his instantaneous method of movement.
•Superhuman Stamina: The Serpent is capable of fighting and exerting his full power for years on end and only being put at a stalemate by the god of thunder.
• Superhuman Durability: His body as stated is nigh-immune to damage. Physical blunt force does little to harm him. It is capable to physically harm him, but it takes in an incredible amount of force or a god killing weapon.
•Superhuman Senses: His senses are multiplied by the thousands. Capable of honing in on each to experience the smallest of details down to a subatomic scale.
•Precognition: Though limited, Jörmungandr has foreknowledge on things to come. All the events of Ragnarök including his own death are things imbedded to memory; each action taken only pushed forward to make certain of his future.
• Hypnotism: Jörmungandr uses this power often on mortals and animals to press his will and command them to a defenseless calm before consuming them whole. Eye contact is needed to place his victims in the trance. Once done, their subconscious sinks into a dark tar that suffocates their thoughts and leaves them vulnerable to the command of the beast.
• Jörmungandr’s Venom: This legendary poison is secreted from the glands of the serpent is one of the most deadly substances in the Nine Realms. Alone it acts as an acid, devouring matter on contact. It’s potency is incredibly high; capable of affecting deities and giving fatal wounds. If the venom is injected into the body, it rapidly erodes the insides and strips immortality from divine beings; turning them mortal and killing them in less than a minute’s time. It can also be used as a projectile and secreted in massive amounts capable of filling the heavens and the seas of Midgard which essentially shows Jörmungandr being capable of flooding the universe with his deadly venom instantly killing lesser beings through melting them down into a fine soup or infecting every organ with the deadly fumes and bringing about a most painful death. A natural God Killer.
• Metamorphosis: The ability to transform into different forms was limited to only size alterations between worlds, but runes inscribed on his body made it possible for Jörmungandr to transform between his bestial form and a mortal body. In a human form, he’s able to morph his body to create a chimera like appearance.
•The Dragon of Midgard: A symptom developed only when in a mortal form. Prolonged combat rots the mind and casts him into a frenzy. His physical attributes are multiplied ten times over, speed, strength, stamina, durability, and venom. Venom secretes from his claws, the poison spewed from his mouth becomes highly reactive to oxygen to create a breath of flame; hence the origin of the name. Jörmungandr’s pain is dulled making him numb to any damage inflicted on his body, and he can only stop if killed or exhausted out of this state of mind; either by killing to his fill or being starved of any victims. The downfall to this is that he cannot differentiate between friend and foe and will attack anyone with the full intent of slaying them.
WEAPONS:
• Fang of The Dragon: This is the favored weapon of the Jötunn. Made from his tooth, it’s length towers over Jörmungandr’s stature. It’s bladed edge secretes a constant flow of venom set to infect the skin or blood stream. He has no limits on how many he can create at once. When acting as the Dragon of Midgard, he prefers to have dual spears.
